Port Vale sign Mac-Intisch & French duo

Calvin Mac-Intosh

Former Ajax youth defender Calvin Mac-Intisch is among three of the latest additions to Port Vale’s new-look squad

The 26-year-old Dutchman and French midfielders Quentin Pereira, 24, and 22-year-old Anthony de Freitas have all signed two-year contracts at Vale Park.

Mac-Intisch joins from SC Cambuur, De Freitas arrives from Monaco while Pereira moves from Epernay Champagne.

New boss Bruno Ribeiro has made four signings in the past 24 hours and five in three days.

Pereira began his career on the books at French top-flight side Socheaux before moving to Reims in 2012.

De Freitas started out at Monaco before making his professional debut while on loan at Portuguese second division club Varzim in January 2016.

Pereira and De Freitas have options for a further 12 months on their deals.

Amsterdam-born Mac-Intisch, the second Dutch defender to arrive at Vale this summer after Kjell Knops[1], came through the youth system at Ajax before getting his chance at Dutch second-tier sides Haarlem, Telstar and his last club SC Cambuur.

The trio’s arrival follows the signing of striker Rigino Cicilia [2]from Roda JC.

New boss; New blood

Ribeiro has been working hard on strengthening his depleted squad since taking over on 20 June.[3]

After a number of players opted not to renew their deals on reduced terms, Ribeiro was faced with having only 10 contracted players for 2016-17 season.

But his recruitment drive has helped ease the situation with BBC Radio Stoke[4] reporting the Portuguese boss is set to announce more new arrivals over the next few days.
